It’s no secret that we’re big fans of the Nokia C3-01 Touch and Type‘s dual interface, so we’re particularly happy to report that Nokia has released a new firmware update for the C Series handset that lets you get even more from this versatile all-rounder.
The new Nokia C3-01 firmware update – version 6.00 in case you’re counting – brings all-new Swipe features to the Nokia C3-01 Touch and Type’s touch interface, letting you do even more through the 2.4-inch touchscreen.
The update allows you to unlock your handset with a single swipe from left to right, while you can open the Collection view directly from the homescreen with the same left-to-right finger swipe. Swipe the other way, right to left, and you’re straight into the Games view.
Besides these highlights, firmware version 6.00 brings other performance and usability improvements too to further enhance the Nokia C3-01 Touch and Type’s already strong appeal.
As always, before upgrading we’d advise you to make a backup of your phone. Then either type in *#0000# from the homescreen, navigate to Device Manager / Options / Check for updates, or head to the Nokia Ovi Suite.
